Residential Placement: Unsuitable Family Environment

Problem / referral request:
YP had been diagnosed with ASD & ADHD and was struggling within the family environment. The YP spent time in hospital before being referred to TCG. He presented with emotional, aggressive & self-harming behaviours

Solution:
YP was given therapeutic interventions along with a 24/7 wrap-around support package. The YP was matched with a wellbeing worker, a therapist, a mentor and a life coach to suit his needs. A robust therapeutic plan was created along with a bespoke independent living skills plan.

Results:
The YP built up positive family relationships resulting in stronger family dynamics. The YP developed a wide range of independent skill sets and fully embraced the therapeutic intervention. After 16 months with TCG the YP has transitioned to adult services with a view of living independently once he turns 18.
