Problem / referral request:
YP was referred to TCG due to number of physical assaults, violent & aggressive behaviour and substance misuse.
Solution:
The YP was given a robust 24/7 package of support along with a mentor and a therapist. The YP was supported with developing independent living skills and towards the end of placement was transitioned onto the TCG Step Down Programme.
Results:
The numbers of physical and verbal aggressive episodes were greatly reduced; along with a reduction in substance misuse. The YP fully engaged in the Step Down Programme and left TCG living independently with floating support.
