Problem / Referral Request:
Local authority requested weekend support for 9-year-old boy who was beyond parental control, presenting with very challenging behaviours within the home to the point the parents could not cope.
Solution:
2 sessions each week took place whereby the boy was supported with recreational activity within the community.
Results:
YP’s behaviour reduced over a period of 5 weeks whereby the support was reduced to 1 session per week. The mother claimed her son had changed totally whereby previously he had sworn multiple times a day and was fighting with his sibling to these becoming a non-occurrence.
